Jul 11, 2019 - A spontaneous trip to Switzerland. A whirlwind 5 day adventure, hiking in the Bernese Oberland and exploring the cites of Geneva and Zurich.

The route takes you over the Chindbetti Pass (2623m). Following time to absorb the view, we descend along a balcony trail with a frontal view of the mountains of l’Altels and Balmhorn and then continue to Kandersteg. Following this trail we arrive to the Lake Bachalp, or Bachalpsee. We are in autumn, and the alpine pastures are now yellow giving another aspect to the scenery we used to see here.

I had a lot of overtime built up from work, so in July I decided to get started. This was the first long-distance hike I did while staying in Switzerland, and I was very excited to see this area of the Bernese Oberland.
